OPEN POSITIONS
Graduate Student(s)
We
are looking for a talented and motivated research student for pursuing his/her
Doctoral Research in the Quantum Interactions group. The proposal for the
envisaged PhD project can be obtained by writing directly to Sadiq. Prospective candidates
must have an M.Sc. in
Physics or a B.E. / B. Tech in a suitable engineering discipline. In addition
the candidate has to qualify through the graduate student selection process at
RRI, via JEST or the RRI entrance examination and interview. The research
work is basically experimental in nature and is on the topic of ultra-cold
molecules. Prospective students are welcome to visit the lab and interact with
us.
Post
Doctoral Fellow
We
welcome candidates who have an interest in pursuing Post Doctoral Research in the field of cold atoms / cold molecules
and quantum physics to write to us. Our work is experimental and the lab is
well equipped for the scientific challenges ahead. RRI has a very robust and flexible
policy for post doctoral research. Details about how to apply can be found on
the RRI web page. Candidates with
experimental ideas of their own, within our experimental range and circle of
interests are very welcome. Theoretical/numerical work, complementing or
enhancing the experiments here or any other original ideas that we can be
sucked into, are open for discussion.
Technical
Personnel (Electronics):
There
is one opening for the post of Electronics Technical Assistant. The requirement
is for candidates who have prior experience in fabrication / populating PCB’s,
designing circuits using ORCAD or equivalent software. The job involves the
population and integration of various circuits so as to make reliable device
level systems for a variety of uses in the laboratory. Only candidates with
prior experience in designing / constructing and testing electronic circuits of
some complexity need apply. The CV’s can be sent to Sadiq.
