Sulafa Masood

I am Sulafa Masood, a recent postgraduate in Physics from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), where I completed my Integrated MSc in Physics in April 2026. My research interests include ultrafast optics, laser–matter interaction, laser-induced plasma, spectroscopy, and attosecond science. During my MSc, I worked on femtosecond laser micromachining of transparent materials and gained hands-on experience with ultrafast laser systems and optical characterization.

I have recently joined Raman Research Institute (RRI) as a Research Assistant in the Laboratory for Attosecond SciencEs (LASE) under Dr. Smijesh N. I will be working on femtosecond-laser-induced plasma generation and its optical emission analysis, including plasma generation, light collection, and spectroscopic characterization.
