Since my first visit to RRI one decade ago, I have enjoyed collaborations with two LAMP groups at RRI: Urbasi Sinha (as a SERB VAJRA adjunct member of her group) and Andal Narayanan (who has also been a long-term visitor to my region: extended leaves in Calgary and later in nearby Edmonton). Here I summarise research results obtained with each of these RRI faculty members and their groups. With Urbasi and her group, we 'classicalised' photon bunching, post-selected slit-based interferometry, and developed software for quantum key distribution. With Andal and her group, we enhanced, amplified, and rapidly switched an atomic system and generated and controlled few-photon optical pulses.
