About

Dr. Saptarishi Chaudhuri is an experimental physicist with core research interest in laser cooling and trapping of neutral atoms. He holds a PhD from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and has post-Doctoral research experience in LKB, Ecole Normale Superieure, Paris, France; LENS, University of Florence, Italy; and CQT, National University of Singapore, Singapore. He has built several state of the art research laboratories, including the first Bose-Einstein Condensate in India. Presently, he is working on the simultaneous quantum degenerate gas of neutral Sodium and Potassium atoms. He is also involved in experimental research on Spin Correlation Spectroscopy in neutral atoms and high precision spectroscopy of cold Rydberg atoms.
