Abstract

The role played by the magnetic fields, turbulence, and stellar feedback in the formation of stars is still a debated topic. The detailed study of the kinematics and the magnetic fields in the molecular clouds arranged in clustered or isolated environments will help in understanding the interplay of these factors. I will discuss the results of ground-based molecular line and optical/Planck polarization observations carried out for the clouds in the Cepheus Flare region. In addition, I shall also discuss the correlation between the projected cloud motion and the magnetic fields using GAIA DR3 and Planck polarization observations. I will finally summarize the talk with the results of high-resolution polarization and ongoing Zeeman observations to study the effect of magnetic fields on the star-forming cores at small scales.
