Abstract

Emergent hydrodynamic behavior at long times is best understood at extreme parameter regimes such as high or low temperatures and particle densities where the theory and numerics is well controlled. However, intermediate regimes where most physical systems lie is less understood. In this talk, I will discuss a novel method we have developed that uses artificial dissipation to efficiently time evolve operators capable of probing hydrodynamic crossovers across a wide range of parameter regimes. As an example, I will describe how our method successfully captures diffusive to ballistic crossover in a system with U (1) conserved charge.
