Abstract

Following the 'tantalizing' hints provided by DESI 2024, I will present two of our recent DESI collaboration papers that expand upon the key cosmology paper to provide a comprehensive assessment of the nature of dynamical dark energy. The first work (arXiv.2405.04216) uses Crossing Statistics to reconstruct dark energy dynamics beyond w0wa in a model-agnostic manner, while the second paper (arXiv:2405.13588) employs DESI's data to explore three physically motivated classes of dark energy with only one additional degree of freedom than ΛCDM.  Finally, I will give a brief overview of the latest results from DESI's Full-shape analysis and discuss its implications for modified gravity constraints.
