This advanced-level school is the seventeenth in the series and will be organized jointly by the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) and the Raman Research Institute (RRI), with partial support from the Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter (ICAM).
This is a pedagogical school aimed at bridging the gap between masters-level courses and topics in statistical physics at the frontline of current research. It is intended for Ph.D. students, post-doctoral fellows, and interested faculty members at the college and university level. The following courses will be offered.
- Dibyendu Das (IIT Bombay) - Stochastic processes related to Gene Expression and Cell division
- Christian Maes (KU Leuven) - Linear response theory
- Kabir Ramola (TIFR Hyderabad) - Statistical physics of athermal systems
- Valentina Ros (LPTMS Orsay) - Dynamics of disordered systems
- Sudeshna Sinha (IISER Mohali) - An Introduction to Chaos
- Hugo Touchette (Stellenbosch University) - Introduction to Reinforcement Learning
Eligibility: Ph.D. students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty members who are working in the related field can apply for the school. PhD students and postdocs should send their CV and need a letter of recommendation from their supervisor or mentor.
