Rishin's main professional interests include developement of instrumentation for X-ray astronomy, design of space qualified systems, control system development for Radio Telescopes and electronics hardware development. He is currently involved in the developement of X-ray Polarimeter POLIX which is a payload onboard ISRO's small satellite mission XPOSAT.
